Hello all you beautiful Wassabi fans!!!!

So much going on, where do we start. Well, we are currently in
Princeton, BC at band camp, well not exactly but it's the Peak
Performance Band Boot Camp and it's absolutely amazing. We are in the
mountains with 19 other bands learning so much about the music
industry and how to further our music careers. There is so much talent
and knowledge here, it is truly a blessing to be chosen into the top
20 of this competition. The grand prize is $150,000 for the
development of our career and we would love to win but we are learning
so much everyday, this is already a prize. This camp is amazing, they
have one of the longest ziplines in North America, a skate ramp, pool,
lake, ball hockey, it is really crazy to be here. I wish there was
more free time! But it's mostly business and here it is: This is
British Columbia's biggest music development project ever! 100.5 The
Peak in association with the Jim Pattison Broadcast Group are putting
5 million dollars into developing BC artists over the next 7 years.
This is amazing news for us in British Columbia since our government
is tabling a huge cut to the arts (50%) on September 1st. Yesterday we
had a songwriting competition, and although we didn't win, the judges
liked our song so much that they are going to use it for the theme
song for the whole project next year!!! yey!!!! We are trying to take
all of this in, but there is soooo much info, the days are packed
solid. They are telling us that this is not about where we started
when we walked in the door, but where we take ourselves in the next
month or 2 until we met again for our showcase. And that is where we
need your help. The judges will be monitoring our media presence; like
our website, myspace, twitter, facebook, blogs, whatever to see what
we are doing, how our fans are responding and how much we are growing.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!!!! We have just released a new version of our
latest single called 'Life's a Miracle' that will be on our next album
coming out in 2010. We have already sent a copy to the Peak radio
station, and you can preview it on our myspace
www.myspace.com/wassabicol
lective and at www.youtube.com/watch
. Check it out and please if you have some spare time , these are a
few ways you can help us continue and hopefully win this competition
and continue to do what we love.

1) Over the next few months show your support on the Peak Facebook
Page by requesting that they play us. You can request they play our
new song, or just mention you would like us to win The Peak
Performance Project. : www.new.facebook.com/thepeak

Please request frequently through the duration of the competition
(until March 2010) You have to "become a fan" before you can add
comments)

2) Tell your friends and family about the Project and help get them
involved.

3) Call Peak FM and request they play us 604-280-1005 or email the
music director at

jsutton@thepeak.fm

4) Go to these sites as often as possible and make comments about us
coming to your town, or our new single or how much you love us!!

myspace.com/wassabicollective

www.facebook.com/home.php#...8079606359

Twitter twitter.com/wassabiband

The judges will be looking through these pages in the next month or 2
to see how many people are checking out our scene, making comments and
supporting us.

You can keep up to date with camp life at:
www.peakperformanceproject.com

Also, on a side note, we have a new episode of the 'Diary of Wassabi'
up for your viewing pleasure:
www.getgrounded.tv/gtv/wassabi.html

It is about lyrics and finding diversity in consistency are talked
about, as Wassabi

packs the Howe Sound Brewing Inn alllll the way back to the bar.
Also, the 1990's version of Abba is resurrected in huLaGirL....and
Melissa break dances!

So, it has been a whirlwind Summer so far and we apologize to our
fans in the East, as we expected to be heading your way in the Fall,
but we have to stay here is BC to work on our showcase and blow this
up!!!!! We will be there soon. Bring us there. Write on all our sites
if you want us in your town, this is the time to be vocal, we would
really appreciate it, this is probably the first time that music
business experts are looking to make sure we have what it takes to
make it and making sure that we are taking control of our careers.
wow. We are only ever as big as our fan base and you can really help
us right now.

Oh and for our showcase in the Fall, we have to cover a famous
Canadian song. What do you want to hear us play, maybe some Stompin
Tom, or Bryan Adams?? Oh my, what will it be? Tell us on our sites,
vote for what you think wassabi should play and we will video the
performance and put it up on youtube for you all to see. This could be
crazy!

Oh and more news. The BCIMA's are coming up in November and the
nominations are open! We would be honored to win one. The category we
are eligible for this year is the '2009 Peoples Choice Award'. This
one is all up to you. www.bcima.org/2009/index.php/nom2009
(It is the last award on the drop menu and takes 2 seconds!) Wassabi
won 2 BCIMA's last year, thanks to all your votes!!!

wow, I hope you all have a few spare seconds to do all this stuff for
us. We will pay you back with years of music.

Oh and we've got some dates to tell you about:

Celebrate with us!)

you.

Love, Wassabi Collective
